PENGUIN RESEARCH (PGR for short) is a Japanese five-member piano rock band consisting out of vocalist Ikuta Yoji (生田鷹司), bassist and composer Horie Shota (堀江晶太) who is also known as producer kemu, guitarist Kanda John (神田ジョン, also in 大凶作, and JerryFish), drummer Shinbo Keita (新保恵大, also in DOPEDOWN) and keyboards Shibazaki Yosuke (柴﨑洋輔).
