Albatross is the third studio album by Canadian rock band Big Wreck. The album was released on March 6, 2012 in Canada, and on February 19, 2013 in the US. After the 2001 release of The Pleasure and The Greed, Big Wreck would split up due to creative differences, with frontman Ian Thornley starting a solo career and founding a new band, titled "Thornley". However, in 2012, the band would resurface and release Albatross, their attempt at a reunion project. Albatross would be the first album to not include founding members Dave Henning and Forrest Williams. Albatross would end up being their best charting album, debuting at #5 on the Canadian albums chart, the highest charting both the band and Thornley himself would reach. It would spawn the singles "Wolves", "A Million Days", and the self-titled "Albatross". Albatross would also go on to win the CASBY award for "Favourite New Album", and would be nominated for "Rock Album of the Year" at the 2013 Juno Awards.
